WINNERS WARBAND

RESPONSIBLE PLAY

A strong Warband knows when to rest.

Winners Warband competitions should always be enjoyed as entertainment. This policy explains the account controls, support options and protective measures available to help customers participate responsibly.

LAST UPDATED 16 July 2026
IMPORTANT

Winners Warband is a prize-competition business offering a free postal entry route. We are not presenting this policy as a statement that Winners Warband is a licensed gambling operator. We have adopted these measures because customer welfare matters.

01

OUR COMMITMENT

Keeping participation enjoyable

Winners Warband believes competitions should remain a form of entertainment. They should not be treated as a source of income, an investment, a way to recover previous spending or a solution to financial difficulty.

We aim to provide clear competition information, customer-level ticket limits, guaranteed draws, a genuine free postal entry route and account controls that allow customers to step away.

We may take reasonable action where we believe participation, account activity or communications indicate a risk of harm, fraud, loss of control or misuse of the service.

02

AGE RESTRICTION

18 years and over only

Winners Warband competitions are only available to eligible people aged 18 years or over.

We may request reasonable evidence of age or identity. Where we reasonably believe that an account is being used by a person under 18, we may restrict or suspend access while the matter is reviewed.

Parents and guardians should take appropriate steps to prevent minors from accessing payment methods, email accounts and devices used to enter competitions.

03

STAY IN CONTROL

Participating responsibly

We encourage every customer to:

Use affordable money only

Only enter using money you can comfortably afford to spend after essential bills, debts, savings and living costs.

Do not chase disappointment

Buying more tickets after not winning does not improve the outcome of previous competitions.

Take regular breaks

Step away if participation stops feeling enjoyable or begins affecting your mood, relationships, work or finances.

Keep expectations realistic

Every valid ticket has a chance, but winning is never guaranteed and most entrants will not win.

Do not borrow to enter

Do not use loans, overdrafts, credit intended for essential spending or money belonging to another person.

Use My Warband controls

Pause or delete your account and manage marketing preferences directly through the My Warband section.

04

TAKE A BREAK

Pause your account

You can temporarily pause your Winners Warband account through the My Warband section of the website.

While your account is paused:

  • you will not be able to purchase new competition tickets;
  • marketing communications connected to the account will stop;
  • your Crowns, Renown, rank and unused store credit will remain linked to the account, subject to the applicable reward rules;
  • valid entries obtained before the pause will remain in the relevant draw unless our Terms & Conditions or applicable law require otherwise;
  • essential service messages may still be sent for existing orders, entries, draws, prizes, security or legal matters.

The My Warband page will explain the pause options available and when reactivation is permitted. We may apply additional safeguards where a pause was requested because of welfare concerns.

05

LEAVE THE WARBAND

Delete your account

You can request permanent deletion of your My Warband account through the My Warband section of the website.

When an account-deletion request is completed:

  • access to the My Warband account will end;
  • future purchases through that account will no longer be possible;
  • marketing associated with that account will be stopped;
  • unused Crowns, Renown, rank benefits, promotional rewards and store credit may be forfeited in accordance with the applicable programme rules;
  • personal information will be deleted or anonymised where we are legally and operationally able to do so.

Account deletion does not require us to erase records that must be retained for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, competition integrity, responsible-play restrictions, complaints, disputes or other legal reasons.

Where an account has active entries, an unresolved prize, store credit, a pending refund, a chargeback or another open matter, we may delay final account deletion until the matter has been administered appropriately.

06

CONTROL YOUR MESSAGES

Marketing preferences

You can stop or change marketing communications at any time by:

  • updating your preferences through My Warband;
  • using the unsubscribe link in a marketing email; or
  • contacting support@winnerswarband.co.uk.

Stopping marketing does not prevent essential service messages, including:

  • order confirmations;
  • ticket-allocation emails;
  • live-draw information relating to a competition entered;
  • winner or prize communications;
  • refund, payment, account-security or legal notices.

Marketing preferences can take a short time to update across all systems. We may retain a suppression record so that your opt-out continues to be respected.

07

WELFARE CHECKS

Account reviews and customer contact

Where we reasonably believe that account activity may indicate harmful participation, financial distress, loss of control, unauthorised use or another welfare concern, we may review the account and contact the customer.

Relevant indicators may include:

  • unusual or rapidly increasing purchase activity;
  • repeated payment failures, disputes or chargebacks;
  • messages suggesting distress, compulsion or financial harm;
  • attempts to bypass a pause, closure or account restriction;
  • multiple accounts apparently used to avoid competition limits;
  • information supplied by the account holder asking us to intervene.

A review does not mean that wrongdoing or harmful participation has been established. Any action should be reasonable and proportionate to the information available.

08

PROTECTIVE ACTION

Restrictions and account suspension

Where reasonably necessary to protect a customer, another person, Winners Warband or the integrity of a competition, we may:

  • contact the account holder and request further information;
  • stop marketing communications;
  • temporarily block new purchases;
  • pause or suspend account access;
  • prevent the creation or use of replacement accounts;
  • request age, identity or payment verification;
  • permanently close an account in serious or repeated cases.

Protective restrictions may also be used where fraud, automated purchasing, multiple-account abuse, chargeback abuse, harassment, false information or an attempt to manipulate a competition is suspected.

We will handle existing valid entries and any prize entitlement in accordance with the Terms & Conditions and applicable law.

09

WHAT HAPPENS TO EXISTING RECORDS

Entries, Crowns, Renown and credit

Pausing, deleting, restricting or suspending an account does not automatically remove valid entries already accepted into a competition. Those entries will normally remain valid unless the Terms & Conditions, fraud findings or applicable law require a different outcome.

Crowns, Renown, rank benefits, promotional rewards and store credit are governed by their applicable programme rules.

During a temporary pause, these balances will normally remain attached to the account. Permanent deletion or closure may result in forfeiture of unused benefits, subject to applicable law and any contractual rights that cannot legally be excluded.

10

KNOW THE WARNING SIGNS

When to consider taking a break

Consider pausing your account and seeking support if you:

  • spend more than you intended or can comfortably afford;
  • hide purchases from family, friends or a partner;
  • borrow money or miss essential bills to enter competitions;
  • feel compelled to enter or anxious when you cannot;
  • try to recover previous spending by buying more tickets;
  • find participation affecting work, sleep, mood or relationships;
  • create additional accounts to bypass limits or restrictions;
  • feel distressed, hopeless or unable to stop.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO WAIT FOR A CRISIS

Pausing early, speaking to someone you trust and getting independent support can prevent a concern from becoming more serious.

11

INDEPENDENT HELP

Support organisations

Although Winners Warband operates prize competitions rather than presenting itself as a licensed gambling operator, organisations supporting people affected by gambling-related harm may still be able to provide relevant confidential advice.

If you or another person is in immediate danger, call 999 or go to the nearest Accident & Emergency department.
